supports safe and dignified living.
Service-delivery constraints affect
wellbeing and create risks for longterm local resilience. Sasol plays a
supporting and collaborative role with
government and other stakeholders to
strengthen essential services enabling
an environment in which communities
and businesses can thrive.
IMPACT
South Africa
• Critical road maintenance and repairs of four key roads in and
around Sasolburg and Zamdela to improve safety for motorists
and commuters benefitting over 160 000 beneficiaries
• The Satellite Emergency Medical Services (EMS) facility was
upgraded to support emergencies reported in Deneysville and
Oranjeville benefitting over 24 000 beneficiaries
• Sasol has installed solar backup energy systems at 11 of 13
targeted public clinics and emergency centres to help ensure
uninterrupted healthcare delivery for 100 000 people annually
• Installation of borehole systems at five healthcare facilities in the
Fezile Dabi District through the drilling and equipping for four
boreholes and one backup water system at Parys Hospital
• Phase one of the GMM Emergency Water Project was
completed by removing leaking valves to help restore water
supply to households and businesses
• Through the Secunda Stadium Chair replacement Project,
2 515 stadium chairs were upgraded, enhancing the quality,
safety and accessibility of a key public recreational facility on the
Govan Mbeki Municipality. The project reflects Sasol’s ongoing
commitment to strengthening community infrastructure and
supporting inclusive sporting and community activities
Mozambique
• The construction of the Chipongo refrigeration system has been
completed which will promote local economic development by
enabling the trade of fresh products over extended periods,
benefitting both farmers and consumers
• The Maluvane water supply system reached 98% completion,
while the upgrade of Mangungumete Health Centre into the
Inhassoro District Hospital reached 85% completion
• Doane and Pande centres is 50% complete and will serve
26 000 people

• Through the Mozambique Access to Electricity Programme,
approximately 1 500 solar kits were delivered to 13
communities and two mini solar grids were completed and
handed over to communities
Qatar
• Sasol Qatar enhanced inclusion and accessibility for persons
with disabilities by supporting digital accessibility platforms and
Ability Friendly programmes that promote independent living,
community participation, and inclusive sporting opportunities
