PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S STATEMENT CONTINUED
I have seen many examples of this across the business during the year: teams
solving practical operational challenges, leaders staying close to the frontline,
employees challenging old ways of working, and colleagues supporting one another
through difficult moments. This is the Sasol we must keep building where people are
empowered to act, expected to deliver, and supported to grow.

Financial year 2027
Looking ahead to FY27, our focus is continuity with sharper execution.
We are not changing course. The commitments made at Capital Markets Day remain
the right commitments. FY27 is about converting the momentum of FY26 into
sustained performance. That means improving safety performance, strengthening
operational reliability, sustaining coal quality improvements, completing the next
steps in the International Chemicals reset, accelerating growth where the value case
is clear, and maintaining capital discipline.
It also means planning prudently. We should not assume that supportive market
conditions will continue. We must continue to bank progress responsibly, strengthen
the balance sheet and allocate capital where it can create sustainable returns. A
stronger balance sheet gives us choices, but it also requires discipline. We must earn
the right to invest, grow and return value through consistent delivery.
To Team Sasol, thank you. The progress made in FY26 belongs to you. It was
delivered in mines, plants, laboratories, offices, retail sites, customer teams and
support functions. I know the demands have been significant. I also know many of you
have carried uncertainty while continuing to do what was required. Your commitment,
resilience and skill are what give me confidence in Sasol’s future.
To the Board, thank you for your guidance, support and challenge. Strong governance
and clear accountability are essential as we navigate short-term delivery and longterm choices.
To our shareholders, customers, partners, communities, governments and regulators,
thank you for your continued engagement. We understand the expectations placed
on Sasol. We also understand that trust must be earned, not assumed.
FY26 showed that Sasol is making measurable progress. It showed that our strategy
is being translated into delivery. It also reminded us that we still have work to do.
We enter FY27 with momentum, but not complacency. Our responsibility is clear: to
lead with accountability, to care for our people, to execute with discipline, and to keep
building a Sasol that is safer, stronger, more resilient and positioned to create longterm value.
Together, as Team Sasol, we will continue building credibility through performance.
