Concluding remarks
During the year, the Committee considered
emerging risks and regulatory developments,
provided oversight of key sustainability
commitments and supported the integrity
and transparency of sustainability-related
disclosures. As stakeholder expectations
and the external environment evolve, the
Committee remains focused on ethical
conduct, responsible corporate citizenship
and effective oversight of the environmental
and social matters most material to Sasol and
its stakeholders.

The year reinforced that responsible business
is defined not only by what we achieve,
but how we achieve it. The Committee will
continue to focus on the safety and wellbeing
of our people, a strong ethical culture and
meaningful engagement with stakeholders
and communities. In this context, Sasol’s role
in supporting energy security in South Africa,
particularly amid heightened geopolitical
uncertainty and the Middle East conflict,
warrants continued attention as the country
navigates the energy transition.
The Committee recognises that Sasol’s ability
to operate responsibly and create sustainable
value is closely connected to the wellbeing of
the communities in which we operate and the
trust of our stakeholders. Through responsible
oversight, constructive engagement and a
continued focus on material environmental
and social matters, we will support a resilient
and responsible Sasol in an increasingly
complex and evolving environment.
